We have so far to go to realize our human potential for compassion, altruism, and love.
-Jane Goodall
It can feel so hard to carve your own path in life. Society has this way of guiding us towards societal norms. But, if we’re only following these norms, we’re not checking in with ourselves to see if they even fit for us.
What I’ve found in my own life is that if I’m intentional about how I’m living my life, then sometimes I will be following societal norms, but at other times I’m carving my own path separate from the norm. Daily intention setting helps me to stay true to myself, and out of a place to reaction to things outside of myself. I’m not perfect at this in any way, shape or form, but it’s something I work towards each and every day.
Here’s what’s to come in this blog: what feeling like you’re too much often sounds like, what may happen if you are not following the norm, and self-care for when you’re carving your own path in life. Enjoy!
