New year is the glittering light to brighten the dream-lined pathway of future.
– Munia Khan
Now that we’re moving into January, how’s your new year actually going? Have you made any resolutions, or maybe a commitment not to make any this year? What about a word of the year, have you chosen yours yet? And a vision board, have your started one? Is there anything else you hoped to have started already, but haven’t gotten to yet in 2026?
I’m here to remind you, that this is all on your own time. The new year often feels like a great reset for many of us, but there can be a lot of inherent pressure around that reset as well.
Personally, I choose a word of the year a while ago, HARMONY. But, as much as I love having a vision board with my word of the year front and center, I have yet to start that yet. I have an idea of how I want it to look, and what I’d like to see on it, but any actionable steps to bring that vision into reality have yet to happen.
In truth, it’s been a very busy holiday and post-holiday season, so I’m trying to give myself a lot of grace and compassion around all the things I thought I’d get to by the beginning of the new year. I’m simply trying to remind myself to be here in this moment right now, and trust that the important things will get done in good time.
Here’s what’s to come in this blog: some word of the year ideas, areas of focus for your 2026 vision board, and ways to take good care of you in 2026. Enjoy and happy 2026!
