How’s your motherhood stress right now? While summer vacation can be fun, it can also be a time of transition that brings a higher level of stress as well. Summer can bring symptoms of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) too, especially if you live in an oppressively hot part of the country (Texas anyone?) where you can be stuck inside for days on end because of heat advisories. These symptoms may include sleep changes, loss of interest in things you usually enjoy doing, feelings of guilt, low energy, low concentration levels, changes in appetite and agitation. If you’re struggling with SAD symptoms, know that they’re more common than you may think, and it can helpful to reach out to your doctor of a therapist in your area for more help and support.
